Tilda with Heart Overalls

I am so in love with Tilda...that's her name. You can buy her at Magnolia Stamps and she comes with lots of fun goodies...the goodies are on my wish list.

This was the first time, with my copics, that I picked the markers to match the paper, rather than the paper to match how I had coloured the image. I'm not sure if it was for that reason, or it was the sketch that I used that made this card so difficult. Or, it could be that the card is for someone who means a lot to me, and is a scrapbooker herself, so I wanted to do my best work. This was also the first time that I used my White Gel Pen to accent the image. I like it. It really does give the eye something to be drawn to.

I used Monday Mojo Sketch #80 for this card. Despite it's busy feel, I like it. It has a lot of texture, and feels weighty in my hand, like it's worth something. It's a great sketch, and I'm sure I'll be using it again.

There's going to be plenty of card making going on at my house tonight. The hubby has decided to do a "Liver Cleanse", so basically starting at 6pm tonight until 10am tomorrow the food he'll be consuming is Epsom salts in water and a little olive oil with the juice of 2 grapefruits. Gross, I know. I have a hard time getting down stuff I don't like. I'm the mom who lets their kid spit out something if they don't like the first bite....cause I couldn't do it if it were me. Anyway, this plan actually tells you to "visit the bathroom at 8:30" etc, so once the kids are in bed, I am retreating to my crafting area. Just in case, the kids and I plan on leaving the house as soon as possible in the morning. I really do think this is the kind of thing a guy needs to do on his own!
