Birthday Invites

Aaaahhh...the satisfaction of completing something ahead of time...way ahead of time!  My Rock Star will be turning 5 at the end of August and we have to plan her birthday early so that I can get invitations made and delivered to the daycare before it closes for the month of August.  So, that was first on my agenda this week with the kiddo's gone...and I can happily check it off my list!

The stamp set I used belongs to BananaStamper...who wasn't home but I borrowed it...thanks girl!  I random stamped the light pink paper, 'cause plain pink was just too plain.  Here's a pick off all the invitations together.  The information is on the back of the card, rather than make it a folded card.

It has been stinkin' hot here and I'm loving it!  It's supposed to continue all week, and I am glad...I'll take too hot over too cold any day.  Hubby has 2 different doctor's appointments tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get some time in the craft room between appointments before I have to go to work.  Oh this day job, it gets in the way of my crafting!  LOL!

Stamps:  CTMH It's Your Day, Imaginisce It's a Shore Thing Flip Flops
Paper:  Imaginisce It's a Short Thing, CTMH Baby Pink, Hollyhock, Indian Corn Blue, Tulip
Ink:  CTMH Tulip, Hollyhock, Black
Accessories:  CTMH Cranberry Ribbon, Kaisercraft Jewels in Pink, Nestabilities Circles and Scalloped Cirlces

Thinking Summer

Hey!  Since I've been having trouble colouring lately due to neck pain, I played with a card that required very little stamping.  The papers are from the Imaginisce Splash Dance line...and let me tell you these are some fun papers!
Argh!  And I totally used a sketch for this one, but do you think I can remember what it was?  Oh well, it will come to me eventually.   Hopefully I'll get some colouring done tonight.  I'll be spending part of my weekend finishing up the "scrapbook for hire" that I'm doing and then maybe a card or two.  And, now that I've got my new work computer set up, I'll be able to blog-surf during lunch and leave comment...with no computer crashing!  LOL!

Have a great weekend!

2 Challenges in 1

Hey everyone!  Christmas is finally over, and I just can't stop making Christmas cards!  LOL!  This one came together quite quickly for me.  I used this weeks Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #96 and was also able to incorporate Sparkles Christmas Card Challenge Week #5 which was to use buttons.  And, to top it all off, I used the new Imaginisce Snowy Jo Papers and CC Designs Stamps that I picked up at The Scrapping Cottage.

This little cutie is Santa Emma, and she sits on my card so perfectly.  I had lots of fun colouring her with my Copics, and then I used some Crystal Stickles on her hat, pompom and belt buckle.  It's hard to see, but I also used the Stickles around the scallop edge.

Have a Great Tuesday!
