This week at Paper Sundaes, the challenge is to use Lots of Layers, and the sponsor is Sugar Nellie. I was able to use this fabulous image that BananaStamper picked up to make a non-traditional holiday card. All the papers were from BananaStampers scrap bin - a very nice place to shop! LOL!
It's hard to see but I used stickles for the snowflakes and on the trim of her coat. The image was quick and easy to colour...and as it turned out, this card was the only crafty thing I made all weekend. I was able to use the Sketch from Sketch Saturday for this card, and although I love the sketch, I think the card should have been bigger...oh well, next time.
Friday night BananaStamper and I managed to get out of the house for a few drinks and some snacks, and when we got back to her place, I just couldn't find my mojo...so I spent the remainder of the evening...all 3 hours...labelling my full collection of copics. Mindless, but work that needed to be done. See, how nice it is to take pictures of my markers now...everyone marker has a label! Woohoo!
Saturday morning, I made this card and then in the afternoon we made a quick trip to Walmart and I took off for a manicure...I feel so good when my nails look nice. I ended the day intending to spend some time on my own with dinner and a movie, but called a friend and was treated to a nice steak dinner and some great conversation. And I laughed...a lot. I need to laugh more. And I need to make more cards, 'cause now I'm a little low in the "Thank You" card department! Yikes!
Oh, and I want you to hop on over to Loopy Lindsay's Crafty Corner to check out this out of this world card that she did....monochromatic is so hard, and she pulled it off with style!

Nice soft, calming card. It just makes you feel all warm and cozy inside. I am glad to read that you had a good weekend for yourself.
Nice card!
Gorgeous card! What a sweet image and the papers are so pretty. I think that Banana's scrap bin must be like a little piece of heaven on earth! Thanks for the link btw, i'm blushing!
Now onto the important jacob v Edward business. Your pro's and con's now have me sitting on the fence for this debate. You see, before the films i was very much team Ed (He was sooo much nicer in my head than on screen. He just looks like a junkie in the film. I know vampires never sleep but he would never get those bags under his eyes through customs!) Jacob however....mmmmm.....the epitomy of manly excellence. But kibble breath? C'mon! You have just ruined it for me! Maybe he uses those nice doggy chews that act like a toothbrush? The other con for team Wolf is that if it rains, he will smell of wet dog. Ok I have just switched back. You win!!
How are things with the family? Hope everything is going well

ROTFL!!! OMG, I think I just peed my pants! After reading Lindsey's comment on my blog just now, where she mentions "Kibble breath" - I had to go and read whatever youwrote to make her switch back to team Edward, then came here and read what she wrote here - OMG - you two make me LAUGH!!! You need to save the pros and cons list you left on her blog and post it as an actual POST on yours - comic relief girl! I never even thought of kibble breath!!!! ICK!
Oh yeah, and your card is nice too - love that image! :O
See ya in an hour or two
Luv,Shan
