You Make My Heart Sing

I made this card a few weeks ago, and can't believe that I haven't posted it yet!  It features my two favourtie characters from The Rubber Cafe, Stella and Angus!  These cute turtles are in love, in my opinion, and what better way to show your love than to play a love song for your woman/turtle?  LOL!

I used the sentiments that come on the Cosmo Cricket paper, and then use a journalling block for the inside of my card.  I cut out a few clouds and pop-dotted them and put one on the pop up part so that it sits out from the card base.

I coloured my image, Music To My Ears, with my copics, then cut it out and mounted it on the card.  I used a sponge and some cream coloured in behind the fence to try and make the white a little less obvious.

This have been crazy busy since we came home from our vacation...we arrived Monday to find out that my Mom is back in the hospital.  She's got "unstable angina" and although she's confident that she'll be out of the hospital today (Wednesday) and on the 6 week road trip as planned for next week, I'm fairly certain she'll be in the hospital for a few more days.  On top of that, the kids started skating lessons yesterday - and they are both great skaters - and we promised Daytona we'd get a Hampster tonight.  So, add laundry, unpacking, a story I want to write and a vehicle breakdown to the mix and things are getting crazy!  I'm hoping to chill out tonight and have something new to post in the next few days.

Anyone else out there watching Glee?

Hey girlfriend,
Thanks for your visit. Ya know things are crazy when we have to visit in cyberspace - oh well, at least we have a clue of what is going on before we chat next. :) I"m good, not to worry, how about you though? We'll talk soon.

Love your card, this turned out great, the paper was perfect and love the clouds!

Shanna
p.s. I am at home this afternoon if you want to chat a la telephone...

What a neat card! I'd love to case this for a card for my DH. The frogs are cute, the sentiment is perfect to go with it, and it looks to me like it's a pop up card--I've seen tutorials but haven't tried them. I also like how you look at the front of the card and think, oh, ok, that's nice, but there's such a neat surprise when they open it :-) Thank you for the inspiration.
