Just a Note

Holy smokes, I'm back to the land of the living!  I finally started feeling "normal" on Sunday, exactly 10 days after I got sick.  The kids have returned to school and the hubby finally went back to work.  What a week!

And, I finally feel like getting back into my craft room...thank goodness!  Today, I have a card I made before I got sick.  I plan on sending it to my best friend Kelly.  She teached 3rd grade and we only talk every few months, but it's nice because we just pick up where we left off.  For whatever reason, these past few months I have missed her more than usual.

The image is from The Greeting Farm and she is a Miss Anya.  I got her through WishRAK, although I could be convinced to purchase this stamp set.  With 2 little girls, I can see using this stamp quite a bit in the upcoming years.  I coloured her with my Copic Markers. The paper is CTMH Grace, a new one that came out in September.  The flowers are Prima and the Brads are CTMH Chocolate.  The sentiment is from StampingBella - I picked up 16 sentiments from her "Specials" Page for $4.  Yup, you read it right, I paid $4.  What a great deal!  And, I'm excited that my Nestabilities should be arriving this week...can't wait to break them out!

Well, I hope that everyone out there is fairing well in this cold and flu season.  I'm planning on breaking out the stamps and being creative tonight - my excuse will be that I have to be downstairs to do laundry!  LOL!  Have a great day!

Stamps:  Miss Anya Collection, StampingBella
Paper:  CTMH Grace, Chocolate, Twilight, Creme Brulee
Ink:  CTMH Black, Copic Markers
Accessories:  CTMH Chocolate Brads, Prima Flowers.

Such a darling card! What a great deal on the sentiments, huh? I'm glad you're feeling better and your friend will love her card.

Hey girlfriend,

Are you telling me that I have to move my laundry facilities into my scrap space? Hmmm, if it means more scrap time.... I'm afraid that I would just be too darn distracted to do any laundry though!

Your card turned out great, and I agree, with girls, you might just want to own that one!

Shanna :)

p.s. Trick or treat? Are our kids going together or no? We havena talked about it...doesn't matter either way, but it has sort of become tradition.
