Get Well #3

I anyone going to enter my inspiration challenge?   I have a New Moon candle and some stamps waiting for the winner!  There's still time to enter.

This is the third card that I made for my friend who needed a get well card.  This one is super plain, but sometimes that's what works.  The image is from Bugaboos Stamps, and is digital.  There is another one that I purchased, and will hopefully be making some cards with next week.
Speaking of next week...did I tell you the kiddo's will be gone for 8 days?  My parents are taking them out sailing and they'll be gone for 8 glorious days.  I plan on making a whole bunch of cards, pre-making some DT cards and making invitations to the Rock Star's birthday party at the end of the month.

BT Update - all scans showed no growth and that the BT is dormant, which basically means that there is no activity right now.  We'll go back again in 3 months for another scan and then we can compare those to the first ones in May and go from there.  Other than that good news, the trip was a big flop.  Tuesday night, we walked and walked and walked and then it turns out the Richtree Marketplace is under construction and won't be opening until end of August.  So, off to the hotel we go.  Finally at 9pm we ordered room service (best onion soup I've ever eaten) and I crashed in bed at 10pm.  Up at 6 am to get to the hospital for 7:30, and when we arrive, they tell us that they don't have our booking...we aren't in the computer at all.  WHAT!?!  So, we have to wait an hour and a half until the rest of the hospital arrives and begin to sort out the mess.   Finally at 9:30 he gets taken in for scans...that take 1.5 hours.  Then we go to the Surgeons office and wait until 1:30 to see the Surgeon.  Finally make it out of there at 2:15...4 hours later than scheduled.  Rush into a cab to make it to Eaton's Centre to visit the Disney Store....and....prepare yourself.....the mug selection sucked!  Sucked beans!  Not regular sucked...I would have bought something....Ugh...so disappointed.  So, the kids got t-shirts and that's it.  We wandered the mall for a bit and then decided to head for the airport.  So, I didn't get my fresh-made Belgian Waffle with Strawberries and Whipped Cream and I didn't get a new mug.   I'm thinking...forget weight loss...I'm asking the kids to get me a waffle maker for my birthday, along with the new housecoat I asked for.  Asking for a housecoat makes me feel old...somehow, asking for a waffle maker does not.  Hmmm.

Thanks for reading my rant.  I'll be back tomorrow with a fresh card!

Paper Sundaes First Challenge and Blog Candy Winner!

Yippee! It's finally the debut day for Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog! Hop on over there to see this weeks challenge, a sketch by our very own Shana Dahl. We have been fortunate enough to have a sponsor for this weeks challenge...the online store Stamp and Create. She carries a wide variety of stamping and scrapbooking supplies, so be sure to check it out.

Now, on to my card. A few weeks ago, I discovered Bugaboo Stamps, a brand new online digital stamps company. I love her images and sentiments. This one reminded me of a good friend who I haven't seen in a while, and the card will be going postal in the morning.

If you participate in the challenge and load your photo up to a gallery, please use the code PSC1 so that we can find you great creation. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Big thanks to everyone who participated in the Paper Sundaes Blog Hop! I had 59 comments (I didn't count the doubles) and when I entered my number into Random Generator, it spit back #22...that would be Rose Petal! Yeah. Sandra send me your snailmail info to sisterupnorth@hotmail.com and I'll get your stamp out right away! Thanks to everyone who left comments during the hop and after...they really do keep this girl going!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Bugaboo Stamps - Check these out!

Well, first off, Happy New Year...it's just another day, so let's get to the exciting stuff here!

On the weekend I discovered this fun new Canadian Digital Stamp company called Bugaboo Stamps.  Swing on over there and check out what Jodie has to offer...and don't forget there are 2 pages of great images to discover.  I can't wait to make some more cards with her fun images.

This card goes along with my keeping it simple...sometimes the stamps speak for themselves.  This is Stella, and as I looked at the different stamps, I think she's the one I can identify with most.   I was especially impressed that all the sentiments come with the stamps, and they are in a seperate file, so you can change their size up a bit too!   Now, if you haven't played with Digital Stamps before, why not try before you buy?  Hop on over to Bugaboo Stamps Freebie section and grab Monkey Love and play with him.  Jodie even has a tutorial on how to work with your new image in MS Word!    I'm loving these stamps, and I hope you do too...'cause you'll being seeing more of them!  LOL!
