A Knitted Project

Hello!  I haven't been able to make it into my craft room for quite some time, but I do have  knitted project to show you.  I knit this hat using a sock yarn, and it is 60% Merino Wool...and washable!
The hat is super stretchy and I made it for a woman who has recently undergone radiation for a Brain Tumor and has last most of her hair.  It's a snug fit, but stylish and not too girly.
This is my Munchkin modelling the hat...lol.  I also took a picture of the pattern up close.  It looked really complicated but once I got started it was just a matter of repeating the stitches over and over.  Perfect project for sitting at the side of the pool while the kids swim.
I'm hoping to get into the craft room this week so hopefully I have something made of paper to show you soon.

Baby Cards

I was inspired by Clean & Simple Stamping Sketch #177 to make a bunch of baby cards for my stash.  These were quick and easy and best of all, now I have 4 of them!
The patterned paper is double sided, so I didn't even have to search for lots of papers to use!
All the stamps I used are from Hero Arts Clear Set Baby CL352, purchased at http://www.iheartpapers.com/ over a year ago, sitting un-inked until now!
I didn't finish the insides, but I can see when the time comes that I'll be able to use these cute little images on the inside too!

I'm going to be sharing my cards over at Use It Tuesday, where they are looking for baby cards and at CASual Fridays where the theme is Hey Baby!  Thanks so much for looking.  My next post will be knitted item...my first this year!

Stamps:  Hero Arts Clear Set Baby
Paper:  Reminisce, CTMH, various
Ink:  CTMH Black, copics
Accessories:  Misc brads, an old CD to make that big circle, spellbinders circle dies to make the smaller circles.

Think Green!

Happy start of a new week! Today over at Paper Sundaes the challenge is to use green on your card.  I was inspired by Clean and Simple Stamping's Fall to Sketch #179.  In fact, I like it enough that I made 2 of these cards to add to my stash.
Today is shaping up to be a lazy day here.  I'm looking forward to lounging around and perhaps finally kicking this darned cough/cold that I've been hanging onto for the past 2 weeks.  Have a good one.

Stamps:  Summer Honey , Amy R Beach Sentiments
Paper:
Echo Park Country Drive (for her hat and inner tube)
Ink:  Copic Markers, Memento Black
Accessories:  none!

Elmo!

I made this birthday card for my cousin's daughter, who turned 3 in January.  I don't use my Cricut a lot, but when I do I always love the results.
I find that I have a hard time posting pictures because I feel like I need to have something else to say...and then I don't write for days.  So, my new goal for 2012 is to post at least 3 times each week even if I don't have anything to say!  LOL!

I'm off with some friends to see The Vow tonight and have some girl chat.  Very much looking forward to it.  Have a great weekend!
