Hello 2011! and an apology.

Hello from sunny Florida...the family and I are in Miami.  The kids are relaxing (read: fighting all day long) while I try to relax (read: ignore their fighting) and hubby hangs around relaxing (read: he's actually relaxing) LOL!  We'll be home late on Friday and will spend the weekend getting back into the swing of things.  Then, it's back to the grind.  I am so not looking forward to returning to Northern Ontario weather. :)

We've been here for a week and I figured it was probably time to check out my blog and how surprised was I to see that the post that I scheduled for last Tuesday..the day we left town...well, it didn't post.  After some investigation, I guess in my pre-Christmas stupor, I scheduled it for December 28 2011...a year from now!  Oh my!  So, here it is...a week late, but better late than never.

When I sat down to do my last card as a Guest Designer for Sweet N Sassy Stamps, I had the Christmas Carols playing...I was singing along...and the urge to do Valentine's struck! Bam! Just like that I packed up all the Christmas papers and pulled out the pinks and reds. I know that we're going to have a few "special" valentines to give away and who doesn't know a soccer fan? Cocoa Loves Soccer is such a perfect image to personalize an otherwise generic valentines card.I used my Cuttlebug to cut the hearts out in a sparkly felt that I found at my local craft store. This card came together very quickly, and I plan on making a few more and using different images like Cocoa Loves Football and Spot The Dog.

A special thanks to Jeanette who asked me to be a Guest Designer and to everyone over at Sweet N Sassy for making this such a wonderful experience. With images as wonderful as these, it made my job a whole lot easier!
Stamps: Cocoa Loves Soccer
Paper: Bo Bunny Crush Collection
Ink: Copic Markers
Accessories: Spellbinders Nested Hearts, Bella Drops in Red, Letter U cut by my Cricut., Sparkly red felt from the craft store.

So, since my post some great things have been happening over at Sweet N Sassy that I wanted to give you a quick "heads up" about.  Korin is now offering coloured digis!  And the January release is fantastic!  So head over there and check them out.

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful holiday and I can't wait to get home and start creating with the new goodies that I got for Christmas.  See you in a few weeks.

Danielle

Cute card...glad to hear your having a good time on vacation. What's a family vacation without a little fighting? Ear plugs work like a charm...you can still slightly hear them going at it...but you just don't care.

I hope you are having a fantastic holiday....me jealous? Well ok just a bit! We are planning a fly-drive to the west coast in a couple of years so I can re-visit some old haunts (very old, I was 6 when I lived in San Diego!)
Your card is lovely, really striking and very, very cute!
