Just a quick post today....but I'm happy to say that with tomorrow's Fabulous Friday post I will have posted every day this week! Yay! It feels so good to do what I love every day!
This card uses Sketch #72 over at Card Patterns and though I was initally skeptical it turned out to be a fun and easy card to make. I used up some scraps of my Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper, 'cause I'm determined to make some room for the new papers that will be coming out the CHA 2010 in a few weeks.
So, have you been reading BananaStampers daycamp adventures? If not, pop on over there...her kids are hilarious. Something that seems to come up repeatedly is "wunderwear"...and until she started blogging about their days, I didn't take any notice of the word. At our house we call them "funderoos" because underoos are fun! Are you old enough to remember Underoos? Check out this commercial I found on Youtube.
So, because I was in the mood and I wasn't tired yet, last night I went in search of the various terms for undergarments...I know, I know...but I needed the laugh...so if you're easily offended, look away from the computer screen now.
Briefs, Knickers, Tightie Whities, Drawers, Skivvies, Grape Smugglers,
Undies, Banana Hammock, Panties, Underoos, Wunderwear, Butt Huggers, oh my!
Can you believe that I found an article that says Australian's have 80 words for underwear?
LOL! So, tell me...what do you call them at your house?

We are boring and just call them underwear...the Grape Smugglers term is hilarious and I can't stop smiling after seeing that one.
Your card is awesome! That is the second one this past week that I have seen the quilted pattern with just square patterned paper and I love this look. I have to add it to my list of ones to try.
Wow you can tell that card took a lot of work! very pretty!
Banana Hammocks?! Love it! We are boring it's just "undies" in our house. This has reminded me of a time in a playcentre a couple of years back when a little girl and her Grandad were playing not far from us. The little girl was constantly pulling her knicky Knacky Noos (theres another for you) out of her botty cheeks, Grandad turned to her and said "whats up love? Is yer butt munching on your knickers?" well, you can imagine I was crying!
Love the card and the sketch. You always seem to have good sentiments, something i'm very short on!
Linds xx
Love the card. In our house (when the kids were small) we called them gotchies.
a sweet card! Butterfly kisses always gets me. :-) LOL at the terms for underwear.
ROTFL! SO GLAD I somehow helped to inspire this lovely post!!!! Ha - we all need a laugh! When I was little, my brothers actually shortening Underoos and called them "roos". Funny though, I had never heard the term gotch until I was a teen, apprently no body in my family ever called it that. :)
Love how your card turned out! I am having fun catching up with what I missed while on the road. You have been busy girl! Can't wait to see what is next!
Shanna :)
love the card - amazing how all those patterned papers work together and don't clash..
