Paper Sundaes Challenge #13 - Make A Scene

Welcome to another Paper Sundaes Challenge - hop on over to the Challenge Blog to get all the details and see the other DT Samples.  This week's challenge is sponsored by My Creative Classroom

This week, our challenge for you is to MAKE A SCENE

Can you believe that I've had this CTMH stamp set Steep and Deep so long it actually retired before I used it?  Oh my, I've neglected this set.  But, it was perfect for this challenge.  I started with 2 pieces of Colonial White cardstock and stamped the trees on both in Ponderosa Pine ink.  I grabbed my honey ink and Small Circle Nestabilities and used the smallest circle as a template to sponge my shining moon!  Next I grabbed my Stipple Brush and Outdoor Denim ink. I used my stipple brush to literally brush the ink onto the paper, making my sky.
I used my largest cirlcle and cut out a piece of the trees and then pop-dotted it onto the matching piece.  I stamped and cut out my snowboarder in black and my sentiment in green to match the trees.  Both the sentiment and the bottom of the snowboarder are popped up to be the same height as the pop-out circle.  This picture is a little dark, but it shows the dimension of the circle better.  Once it was all assebled, I used my stardust stickles to make stars in the sky...but I haven't quite figured out how to photograph stickles correctly.
It seems like all I've done in recent months is cards with images that are coloured, and that is mainly what I think I'll be sticking to, however, it's fun to dabble in stamping only cards.  I'm sure you'll see things like this make an appearance every once in a while.

Don't forget to hop on over to Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog and join us in this weeks challenge.

Fabulous card! Love the trees and how you cut out the circle and used it to add dimension to the card. I'm going to have to venture out soon and do a stamping only card!

I'm finally getting around to sending out some "candy" for those that entered my blog drawing last month. If you send me your address, I'll get yours out to you. :) Kim

Awesome card!!! It's nice to see a stamp only card, you did a fabulous job with it, so modern I could think of tons of folks I could give a card like this to. Great job with the challenge.
