I made this card a few weeks back for the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge, which was to make a Monochromatic card. I had already coloured the image weeks before and sat staring at it wondering what the heck I was going to use it for. The image is actaully 2-in-1 as I took my digital Shy Edward and Dressy Ebony and combined them in my graphics program. I was able to make the backgrounds transparent and then she slipped in behind him qutie nicely.
These two were also my first real attempt at colouring black hair. I actaully like the card more in person than on the computer...and already I see what I would do different. Because it was monochromatic I used the blue DP with the pattern, but in real life I think that I would have preferred to use a white paper instead and then emboss it with my Cuttlebug. The layout of course is not mine, but from PaperMakeup's Makeup 4 the Weekend #13
I'm swamped at work with catch up stuff, but luckily my husband totally had things under control at home while I was gone. I'm itching to get into my stamp room and create...not only with what I brought home, but also with the new stamps that arrived just before I left! And, for Valentine's Day I am getting the balance of my Copic Markers...yep, you read that right, I'll have all the markers except the Flourescents. I am such a lucky lady!
