This week's challenge at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is written inspiration. I know that my DT were all surprised that I didn't do a Twilight theme'd card, given my penchant for quoting Eclipse and comparing almost every situation to something in the books.
However, a few months back, the kids and I were at the movies and we saw a Trailer for Beezus and Ramona...does anybody remember these books? They were by Beverly Cleary and I told my 7 year old that we couldnt' watch the movie until we had read the book. So, when I was asked to pick an image to use for this challenge from our sponsor Spesch Designs, I saw this little girl with balloons and immediately thought of Ramona.
The funny thing about books is that you can read them over and over and find so many different things in them. When I was a kid (and I'm the youngest of 2) I always sympathized and related to Ramona. Now that I'm reading the books with my eldest daughter, I can totally relate to Beezus, as I know that is how my daugheter is feeling. So amazing to me that she would love books that I read as a kid...it is true that reading the is one of the things in life that never goes out of style. The sketch is from Sketch Girl #18 a fabulous sketch site I found.
Oh, and have you checked out Spesch Designs yet? You really should!
