More Valentines!

It seems that Valentine's cards are everywhere these days, and I know you'll be seeing a few more from me in the coming weeks!  So if you're thinking of making a Valentine's Card be sure to enter it over at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog this week for the chance to win some great prizes. 

My card uses a fun digital image from Pink Cat Studio's called Squirrel Valentine.   Isn't he just darling?

The sketch is courtesy of The Sweet Stop Sketch #91...I made another card a few weeks back with this same sketch, but failed to add a "dry embossing" bit to it so I couldn't enter it for the challenge.  I loved the card so much though, that I used the same base for this one.

A little note...

I was asked a few weeks back to make a card for a friend's co-worker who is retiring this week.  Since the card will be hand delivered, I was able to add a little bit of dimension...and it was so much fun!

My image was coloured back in November and is a Lily of the Valley image that my friend Crystal sent me back in the early fall. 

I used The Sweet Stop's Sketch #92 for my card...you should check it out, it's a great sketch!  Instead of a  bow, I used a little bit of ribbon and the layered a Prima Flower and a button.  I used a small piece of embroidery floss (from my cross-stitching stash) and a glue dot to attach the charm behind the flower and let it hang a little bit.
