A Recipe Challenge

Today's challenge over at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is a Recipe Challenge:  2 patterned papers, 3 buttons and 4 flowers.  And, we're sponsored by Meljen's Designs...a fabulous digital stamp company.

I used Friday Sketchers Sketch #115 for my card, and I cracked open a new We R Memory Keepers paper pad.  Love these fun and bright colours for this card.   The Sentiment is Stamping Bella.

I just love this little beauty in her bathing suit...and pink and yellow were what I was feeling like today!  I used the brand new sketch from Friday Sketchers and my colour inspiration from the Copic Colour Challenge (YG00, RV13, V91) and I had to throw a flower on there so that I could say that I qualify for S2G Twisted Thursday (flowers on the paper and the actual flower!) 'cause I love them over at S2G! Whew!

Paper Sundaes Blog Hop

I used Claudia's sketch over on the Friday Sketcher Blog, and tried my hand at Paper Pleating, which was the challenge at Just Magnolia.  I love the way the patterned paper pleated.  All of my Patterned Paper is from Bo Bunny's Kitchen Spice Collection, as are the flowers on the top left.  The little flower on my tag is a tiny little Prima Flower that I've had since forever...don't you just love it when you use stuff like that?!  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things and of course, my girl is Tilda with Tulips.  I distressed the edges of all my papers with CTMH Tulip ink and coloured my image with Copic Markers.

Merry Christmoose!

Isn't this guy just the cutest?  I got him through the Canadian Snag group...you should check it out on Splitcoast Stampers. 

He's on some really great Neenah 110lb paper, it's so thick and nice to work with, and it makes for great blending with my copics.  As I was colouring him, I knew that these cute embellishments that I picked up in the clearence bin at Michael's would be perfect. 

Because I'm home today while we have a new Furnace and an HRV installed, I was able to surf the web while I scrapped...two of my favourite things to do.  I came across Friday Sketchers #80 and the card just fell into place.  The paper is some very old retired CTMH paper, so old I don't even have the piece that has the name on it!  Very simple, but very cute.  I hope you agree.

Today, for the 4th day in a row, my four year old woke me up with this question, "Is it Christmas today?"  Crazy!  We haven't even put the tree up yet, how could it be Christmas...just goes to show that Christmas is everywhere!
