Don't Tell Me to Relax!

Haha, I totally forgot that I had this stamp set from MFT.  It is called Twisted Foursome...and it is a set of funny and sometimes off colour sentiments.  I can totally relate to this sentiment too!  I had just finished a DT card on Monday and was itching to use my MFT Well Worn Greetings Dies and this is what I came up with.  I gotta say, these dies are the bomb...I know I sound like a geek, but this set is really just plain fabulous!
The layout is courtesy of Mojo Monday Sketch #225 and I'm proud to say that the card is completed, photographed and posted before the challenge closes!  Yay Me!  I was pleasantly surprised by how easily this one came together...and I just love that sentiment!

So....I have a question for you.  See, I am currently working part-time, just 2 days a week and it feels like if I don't do some major planning each week, then on the days that I work and the kids have activities we end up eating out.  I can generally do the standard spaghetti, chili, soup & sandwiches, burgers, chicken breast and meatloaf.  But, I'm getting sick of eating these things.  I tried a great Beef Barely Soup last week, but the Rock Star is a picky eater and so she had chicken nuggets instead.   So, my question is this.  Do you have a favorite "easy" recipe?  I'm talking I can either make it the night before without much fuss, or it prepares in under 15 minutes.  Crock pot recipes are welcomed.  Link me to your favorites.  Email them to me at dan_scrapbook at hotmail dot com.  I'm getting desperate people...I can't look another McDonald's Big Mac, Wendy's Bacon Deluxe or Little Caesars $5 pizza in the eye!

Great card!!! I will have to check out those dies!

Oh I need that sentiment!!! One of my students told me to relax one day and lets just say all of the boys got a lecture about telling a woman to relax (:

One thing that's quick that my kids like is what we call tuna fish dish. You cook up some macaroni, then add a can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of tuna, I usually make quite a bit so I would use 2 cans of each, just depends on how creamy and tuna fishy you like it. Then we eat it with plain chips (and Lee and I like Tomato butter on it too, Mom's homemade stuff)

Love that sentiment, Danielle! Never seen that set before.

We do chili, spaghetti sauce, and sloppy joes in bulk then freeze flat and heat in microwave or crockpot. Salad and buns on the side and away we go. If I have half an hour, our family loves stir-fry. You can either buy the chicken precut, or buy a Costco pack and divide it up and cut, freeze. The thing that takes the longest with stirfry is the rice. We buy the veggies bagged in a stirfry variety.

If you get any ideas emailed to you, I'd love to see them!
