Paper Sundaes Challenge - Paper Piecing

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...NOT!  Thank goodness the weather has continued to hold out here...although we're down to single digits, the sun is so nice!  This week's Challenge over at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is Paper Piecing.  Check out what the other DT members have done, and make your own card to be entered to win a Gift Certificate to Simon Says Stamp

Originally, I had a whole other card designed for this one...I had all but put the adhesive on, but it just wasn't feeling right so I started looking for a different sketch and I found this great sketch at Delightful Sketches and Challenges.
The paper is 3 Bugs in a Rug, and the image is Santa Emma from CC Designs Sugarplums. I stamped the Emma first, masked her off and then stamped the tree stump (which is from the Sugarplums Spring Kit) so that she would appear to be sitting on it. Then I stamped Emma on  a piece of patterened paper and cut out her clothes.   Her whole outfit is paper pieced and I added white Fun Flock to her cuffs and hat to give the card a little bit of "fuzzy" - my kids keep asking if they can touch it!

My card will also be entered in the following challenge:
Corrosive Challenge - Paper Piecing

New Moon Update - the movie is so much more fun when you can rewind it over and over to watch the good parts...or laugh at the cheezy parts.  Hubby and I were at Walmart last night and we saw New Moon Edward Pillowcases...they make a great gag gift...but for $20 I just couldn't do it....maybe if they go on sale.

Have a great Sunday!

PS - New Moon, what cheezy parts? You mean when they are running through the forest, or when Jacob takes his shirt off, or......:)
I spent yesterday afternoon babysitting for a friend and then we ended up watching it in the afternoon :)
