Rubber Cafe Wednesday

It's Wednesday!  Half way there people!  Today's card features my new stamps from The Rubber Cafe.  I sued the stamp set Magical Ball.  I stamped my snowman, then I re-stamped him on scraps and cut him out.  I used the scrap snowman as a mask and then stamped my snowglobe over top.  Then, I stamped the snowglobe on my green cardstock and cut it out for the base.    For my sentiment I used Happy Holidays 2, also from The Rubber Cafe.  Can you see the snow?  In person, it is very fluffy and sparkly, but I couldn't get that to transfer to my photo.

And, in an effort to multi-task, this card qualifies for Sparkles 2010 Christmas Card Challenge #2, which was to use traditional Christmas colours of red, green and white.  AND...I used Jen del Muro's sketch for you to Dec 12.  Whew!

All this and I cleaned my kitchen, living room, one bathroom and one kids room this afternoon.  I'm exhausted!

Today's Question:  What is your favourite Christmas treat?  Well...I could go on and on...so I will...hehehe!  My very favorite are Nanaimo Bars (sometimes referred to as New York Special) however, I will only eat the one's that I make.  No, I'm not a snob, it's just that I make a recipe that was passed down from my great-grandmother and everyone who has tried them will tell you they are the best ones.  Nothing else can compare...so why bother?  LOL!  Plus, I love shortbread...but only the really light stuff...okay, maybe I am a bit of Christmas Cookie Snob!  And I love almond cookies, the one's that look like snowballs and then you roll them in icing sugar...and fudge...and I could go on and on!  What's your favourite?

Stamps:  The Rubber Cafe Magical Ball, Happy Holidays 2
Paper:  Bazzill Green and Red, 3 Bugs in a Rug Peppermint Stick
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black, B000 Copic Marker
Accessories:  Snowflake by The Rubber Cafe, Stickles, Misc. Snowball looking thingys.

Love your card, that polka dot paper is fabulous!

Fave treat - hmmmm - my Nana's Christmas Pudding - ya know the traditional stuff served in small bowls with sauce. I made it two years ago when my family came during the holidays. I had to make it again this year since they are going to be here for Christmas - the perfect excuse to indulge in such a yummy treat!

Cheers,
Shanna
