Introducing Stella and Angus on Mojo 102

Hey there! Whew, what a busy week...get 2 kids ready for school, work part-time with kids in tow (when you run the business, you're never really on vacation), hold a fundraiser BBQ, hold 2 birthday parties in the same day and read 6 books. Okay, I didn't have to read the books, but I couldn't help myself!
In all of that I received some great stamps from The Rubber Cafe...you remember that I'm on the Design Team, right? I think I have been neglecting my posting duties, although I have plenty of contect. I'm going to showcase some of The Rubber Cafe stamps over the next few weeks as I'm having so much fun making great Halloween cards. But first, let me introduce you to Stella and Angus. Aren't they just the cutest?

I stamped them on Neenah White Classic paper...what a dream. And, since my Memento Ink doens't seem to be cooperating with any stamps these days, I stamped the image with Versafine and then quickly covered it in Clear Embossing poweder and heat embossed it. Because the humidity is so high in my scrap area (80% sometimes - gross I know) I have problems with the Versafine running with my copics. Just heat setting it doesn't always seem to do the trick, but embossing it sure does. I found that I didn't have to be nearly as careful around the edges of the image because the embossing stopped me before I "coloured outside the lines!"

I used Mojo Monday Sketch #102 for this card, and the great papers that I bought from The Rubber Cafe - they are the new Cosmo Cricket Earth Love line. How yummy are these papers? I distressed all my edges, including the edges of my image. And, did you like my fake brads? My friend Shanna put me onto doing this...I take my Crop-A-Dile and cut out a few circles using the large punch hole. Then I flatten them and adhere to my card with a little glue. Voila, brads to match any project! Plus, I used a saying from one of the sheets of paper to add my sentiment. And, since my Mojo was flowing, I finished off the inside of my card too! Check it out!

I carried the layout from the front of the card inside while still leaving room for a nice note. Ooh, it may be midnight here, but I'm feeling good! I have the layout all finished and glued down for another card, but I have to colour the image still....and I need to get my butt into bed, tomorrow is the first day of school for the kids.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Earth Love
Ink: Copic Markers
Accessories: Marvy Circle and Scallop Circle Punch, Crop-A-Dile, EK Success Picture Corner Punch

Yikes, you really DID have a busy week - and somehow, you managed to fit in a night with the girls! That was way fun, by the way, thanks! Can't wait to do it again so soon - I had no idea it had gotten so late until I got home and looked at the clock! (I cannot believe I used to stay up that late all the time in my younger years, it's so hard on the body!)

Anyhow, your card is cute and I love how you finished the inside in a similar fashion.
Cheers,
Shanna

Wow this is adorable!! I think you are forgiven if you did lapse in posting your DT work as this seriously made up for it! ;) I love the flat brad idea - wonderful job and easier to mail! Those turtles are adorable and your coloring is just perfect. Hope the kids have a wonderful day at school!
