Frightening!

Hey everyone, it's Wednesday! Now, normally this wouldn't be any special day, but I'm happy because starting Friday I'm on holidays from work for a week and then the kids start school! School cannot come fast enough! And, in the spirit of all the impending celebrations, I broke out my new stamps from The Rubber Cafe and made a Halloween card.

The images that I received are just awesome and I'm having so much fun making Halloween items, not just cards. Check this out, it's a card featuring the Bat Motel from The Rubber Cafe. I also used the Frightful Halloween stamp.
First, I coloured the image with my copics (okay, I coloured 3 before I got one that I liked, but I knew you all were going to like this one too!), and then used one of my cast-offs to create a mask of the house. I used a sponge and 2 different blue inks to create the night sky. Something that I discovering with my copics - 'cause I've only had them 6 months and the learning curve is huge - is that if I wait a few minutes and then use the same colour again I can get some great shadowing/darkening. Take a look at my moon...only 1 copic used there, but the bottom is brighter...can you see it?
So, how does one get inspired to make Halloween cards in the middle of the summer (other than great Halloween stamps from The Rubber Cafe?) Twilight Music of course...not to dark, a little edgy, thinking of Edward. LOL! I'm slowly converting from a country music fan to a - I'm not sure what it's called - fan. Anyone else out there love Paramore?
Stamps: The Rubber Cafe Frightening Halloween, Bat Motel
Paper: Misc. Cardstock
Ink: Copic Markers, CTMH Outdoor Denim, Moonstruck
Accessories: none!

Love how this one turned out! Of course, I knew you had seen the trailer for New Moon more than once, but I had not seen that one...Wow - do we really have to wait until November...sigh....so can I borrow your books to read again, or are you gonna do round three? If so, I might just have to buy em, I've gone long enough without any Twilight...

I know, I just can't stop talking about Twilight, but your card really does look FAB! I esp love your sky!
