Sunshine's Superbird!

I have some exciting news! I've been invited to participate on another Design Team! Woohoo! Sunshine Stamps is a brand new digital stamping company...so new the store isn't even open yet, but she's giving away some great free images...all you have to do is ask nicely! LOL!
This week's image (and the last freebie before launch) is Superbird. Now, I have two little girls and I'm not really into cars, so I had to do a little research. Turns out that The King in the Disney Movie "Cars" was a Superbird...now I just have to watch the movie! I checked out some great pictures on the web to help my colour this guy...but in the end, he ended up on a Christmas card. I found my inspirations on the Mojo Monday blog. And, as it turns out, my card also works for Sparkles Christmas Card Challenge #33

Since I still have a tonne of my K & Company Brenda Walton's Peppermint Twist Paper I grabbed for it first and started playing. The card came together pretty quickly actually, and I'm so happy to have a non-religious masculine type Christmas Card - something that can be quite hard to find. I coloured Superbird in with my copics, but instead of blending I went for a more filled in look, like when my kids colour.

Do you like him? Superbird is the last in the line of freebies to hit the market before this great line of digi's hits the market. Hop on over to Sunshine's Blog to request your own FREE COPY of this great image! And don't forget to come back later in the week...I've got another great card with my Superbird!

Paper: K & Company Brenda Walton's Peppermint Twist, CTMH Cranberry, Clover Meadow
Ink: Copic Markers, Versafine Onyx Black for the Sentiment

Love the way you thought to use him as a Christmas card. And I didn't know "The King" was a Superbird, my 4 yr old son LOVES "Cars" :)

Love how you made him a Christmas card! What a fun image for boys! So, did you know I'm in love...with a vampire??? Help, I can't snap out of it. I'm playing the piano lullaby again - if you haven't found it yet, you must, it will make you swoon....
